I wish you could have grown up the way I did, in a village with no tapwater, no bath tubs, no cars around. Walking to school together with my friends early in the morning, a littlebit afraid of what the teacher might ask me today. The air was so fresh and the flowers greeted me so nicely. I had to smile to the world and some times I even had to sing.
This is the world I know and this is the world I’d love to show you and share with you. Of course I had no idea of all these wild animals you certainly want to see. My father, mother, Uncles and Aunts, well, I called them father and mother as well because it is this way here in Tanzania. We are happy to have many fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers, but sure we know they are our relatives. These fathers and mothers told me many stories about these animals, and about the other tribes which lived around us and still do. These stories could be frightening.
But I, as well as you, have to travel to the National Parks to be able to see the animals for real. A huge experience even for me. Born here in Tanzania as I am.
This is what, my staff and I would love to share with you, this special world, Africa.
